In his early years, my father graduated from the Royal Government Normal School of Hong Kong. It is the first official institution in Hong Kong, with a complete British curriculum as well as authentic Chinese education. He became the principal of many schools in Hong Kong in the 1930s. I grew up in the arms of my parents and under their influence of culture.
